Idea for tach placement 1 Year, 9 Months ago
I had this weird idea today and I'm wondering what you will all think about it.

I've been wanting to add a tach to my bike but I don't really like the look of one bolted to the handlbars. I'm thinking that if I could find one small enough that could be made to fit in the ignition key space in the dash. I'd then relocate the ignition key and seat release to some unobtrusive location.

I dont know if this would even work, but who knows. Any ideas?

I have the 3370. The one at the top. Works great, the light is not too bright. Easy install. I use it more than my speedo.

What about one of the small ones that you can put onto the master cylinder?

I have a friend with a scion xb and the speedo looks like its the same size as the R* speedo. I always thought it would be nice to make it work on the R* and would look factory

Before I pitched my stock tank I considered doing a completely different gauge set up. If you take off your dash you will see there is a lot of room under there. I had visions of a plate to cover it flush with the tank and build the gauges in to it. I ended up putting in a MotoGadget Motoscope Mini which pretty much disappears mounted to the handlebar and its speedo/tach/odo/trip:

I can answer that... nope. You can see it on my profile page pic. Easily attaches to the L/H coil, a ground wire and run the wires through the existing clutch cable stays and a little spot-tie to keep the wire tight.
