Trany recall 1 Year, 9 Months ago
I dropped her off for the trany recall yesterday. The " kid" at the service counter said it should be done by Saturday . I don't realy plan on it but that would be great, weather here is going to b e perfect this weekend. I am hoping that they don't pull a fast one and say I owe them something for extra work . I just don't want them holding her ramsome. Oh well wish me luck

Mine should go in next week. The no personality big dealer told me they have to have thie bike before they order parts. Two weeks for parts and four weeks for labor, six weeks total. I went with the small dealer and nice guys. They ordered parts with my verbal agreement and said under two weeks for labor.

Yep, slow. Mine too, 2 days in the shop, I know it can be done with-in the 9hrs that Yamaha pays the labor bill on, I have heard of a few wrenches that have done quite a few in the 7 to 8hr range. My wrench took about 11hrs, but he is sick with asthma, so every few minutes he is huffing on his medical inhaler, then takes a couple min. break. And I even had to have my middle drive shaft replaced, shpped overnight, and still got it back in 2 days. I was up in the shop for at least 4hrs, even had to give him a hand to put my engine guard back on.

I would be running from a place that says it would have to be in the shop for 4 weeks, that is totally absurd.
