synthetic oil 6 Years, 9 Months ago  
I would like to know if I can run synthetic oil in my roady. I have a 2000mm and was told by the dealer that I could not run it. But reading the forum I see that some of you guys put synthetic oil in there machines. Can anybody bring up to pare.<br><br>Post edited by: willy, at: 2005/08/30 19:53

Willy,

Yes, you can run syn oil. You can buy various brands of motorcycle oil or you can use some brands of automobile oil as long as they do not say &quot;Energy Conserving&quot; on the API label.

Here is a synthetic I use in my Roadie made by Mobil just for air cooled V-twins.
You won't find it at Wal-Mart, I got it from a Mobil Distributor.

Thanks for the help. I use mobile 1 in my trucks so I hope that they sell the motorcycle vtwin oil also. I will be chaging the oil and filter soon.
