Switchblade Windshield 1 Year, 9 Months ago
I've been thinking about switching my windshield to a switchblade 2-up. I really like the idea of the quickness to take it off/put it on. I was wondering who here already has one, and if you like it? What are the downsides (if any) to this setup? Thanks!

Re:Switchblade Windshield 1 Year, 9 Months ago
I have the switchblade system on my bike. I use the shorty shield and get very little wind buffeting (I am a tad over 6 foot). Have had this setup for 2 years now. Might add the 2-up shield later this year for cold weather riding. Shield looks great and works just as good. Easy off for cleaning bike. Rarely ride the bike without the shield but it's nice to be able to remove and put back on within seconds. I also have the National Cycle chrome lowers on. Uses most of the same hardware but you will need the longer spider brackets that come with the lowers. Nice addition if you decide to go that route. My sig pic was taken before the lowers were put on.

Ride safe...Mike

I pulled off a memphis shades I put a switchblade on the Honda Aero my wife rode for a while. Install was easy and the shield was rock solid when mounted. Seemed like a good product to me. Can't speak to how they work on our bikes. However I'd imagine they'd be just fine.

i run the 2 up. It is a nice product. N o functional complaints. The shield might be a tad large from a visual perspective, but that is just an opinion and doesnt reflect on the product. on/off in 5 seconds.

You can order directly from National Cycle. Here is a pic of the chrome lowers from their website.

Hey there mountain cruiser I just happen to be selling a switchblade two-up with the mounting hardware on ebay with a buy it now of 159.95. I paid about 300.00 less then 6 months ago. Its like brand new however I now have a fairing on the bike so I don't need it anymore.

I have one as well. Great product. The 2-up is a tad tall - I just got the next smaller size and have some buffeting. But I like the height.

I also bought the lowers but haven't installed them yet.

Once I get the lowers on I may be selling one or the other after I try them out.
