Rained for three weeks before it went in, sunshine for the ten days it's been there and now I get it back and it starts rainin. DAM-DAM-DAM

Well she is home. Thank the good lord.

I cannot say that I am 100% satisfied, first I get to the shop and it's been sitting outside in the rain all morning, my fault obviously, for not getting there first thing. . Second, the boot on the starter cable is shredded, how does this happen? No one knows. go figure. Third, it went in; spotless,
it came out; covered in greasy finger prints and assembly lube dripping of the bottom of the motor. It's pretty obvious no one cares about cleaning up after themselves. Fourth, and most aggravating; the damn thing has been sitting there with the ignition switch and the run switch in the on position, all morning. Yep, you guessed it; DEAD F'n battery.

On the positive side, the valve train is quiet, it does not appear to be leaking oil, and the tranny IS shifting smoother than it was before it went in. However, it will take a few minutes to get the clutch and throttle cables adjusted properly.
I know how to do this and I am NOT a professional mechanic. Why can't it be right when it is released? NO one knows.

I will give her a nice bubble bath in the morning, rub her down with a little chrome polish and as long as the major stuff is solid, I will be happy.

Me and my girl will get past the trauma of this short seperation. I will find a new boot for her starter cable, I will make sure that her guts are well lubed
and she will provide me with endless hours of satisfaction.

Until we encounter a catastrophic failure of a major component, I have promised her that she will never be left in the care or lack there of a DEALERSHIP again.

I'm glad it's over and I KNOW it had to be done!!

I have snapped out of it now, and yes I would very much like to meet up for coffee or dinner or any other. My wife is on Girls night out tomorrow and I will be free to venture out. I'll watch the weather, what are you up to?
I desperately need to ride somewhere, even if it's just across town.

OK sounds like a plan to me lets watch the weather and see what it does and make plans on that. Where in Dallas are you? I put in the new dishwasher tonight so the wife is happy. The old one was recalled. PM me your e-mail address and I will do the same and we can quit trashing this thread.
