I'm just curious as to the year, model and milage of your R*. Since I just got an 07 R* midnight Silverado with 7600 miles... I was wondering how many miles we can get with good maintenance without an engine rebuild.

Thanks

Mark

Thanks

Have an "01" that I bought 5.5yrs ago, had 1300 miles, now has 120k, about 95k had a oil leak at neutral switch, bottom screw loosened, due to vibes top screw hole plastic busted. Still running stock belt, stock clutch. 47k had tranny recall. Have heard of a few with over 200k and no major work. Use automotive syn. oil, and have gone thru my share of tires as well.

Had to get my calculator out for that one. You're averaging over 21k/year. How do you find time to visit the forum?
At the rate I'm going my R* will last forever!

Re:Year and milage 1 Year, 9 Months ago
Thanks for the replys folks, I find it interesting. When I bought a 08 Dyna Low rider new off the show room floor then spent tons of money for upgrades I had a oil leak at the base of the rear jug and then a warped rear pulley. I went on a 500 mile round trip here in Florida and after that ride I told my self this bike sucks. Tried to trade up to a Road King and the Harley dealer would only give me 8 grand for the Dyna that was less than 6 months old with 7000 miles! I paid $16k for the bike! Then I tried to sell on EBay and that was waist of time. I took it to Yamaha and they said they would only give me $8900. So I ended up trading it for a 07 Yamaha Royal Star Tour deluxe which I recently traded got my Roarstsr.I really like the Roadstar and can't to fur some modifications. The first thing is getting new seats. I'm torn between the Ultimate seat or the Mustang. I have experience with the Ultamate which I had on my RSTD and the Corbin dual tour seat on my HD. I never had or sat on the Mustang seat.

I been gabbing to long.
