Costly Mistakes 1 Year, 8 Months ago
Man, throughout the years I have spent more time and money on parts, headgear, riding gear, etc. simply because it looked good on the Internet when in fact I should have seen, touched and tried on first and then shopped the Internet for price, a picture might paint a thousand words, but, if ya can't repeat them in public, the hell good is it

Jona,

Which is why this forum and it's members are so great. We try stuff, tell what's good and bad about it. So in one way, it saves us some costly mistakes, because others went through it For those that had the guts and experimented, had their fare share of oops and successes, I thank you for sharing that in the forum. Sharing of ideas and such, it's great....really gets your mind thinking.

I might buy something at an internet price, but I always lay hands on it someway. Or I make sure that the return policy is iron-clad so I'm not stuck with something that doesn't fit right or has poor quality. We all get burned sometime, but doing it this way seems to work for me.

when you fine something cheap on the internet, and a local store carries it, sometimes they will match the internet price. I have gotten stuff at a good price that way.

I purposely try not to buy on the net. I develop a relationship with local vendors and work with them to match pricing. When I say match you have to take in to consideration freight/shipping so if they are a a few bucks more it's fine. Plus if something goes haywire or it doesn't fit I have a face to talk to. In the end I prefer to spend my money local.

I buy a lot of stuff on the 'net, but only after I get info on the product from others first!
