I use "Snow Seal" Pure Bee's wax, cleans, shines, and water proofs. Available almost any shoe store or Farm store. Link to Snow Seal

Thanks for the suggestions. I was leaning towards the saddle soap amd mint oil having had saddles and gear for horses in the past. This place is a wealth of information and experience!!

The only thing that I have used on my bags is DOC BAILEY'S. I use it on all my leather, seat. jacket, chaps, boots and vest. It shines, protects and water proofs all in one step. I clean everything with a damp cloth and then apply DOC's. I got my first bottle at Sturgis many years ago and have been using it ever since. Water beads up on the leather and once you put it on you can just wipe off the dirt and use either a clean cloth or a shoe brush to shine it up a little. I have been using it on a pair of work and riding boots that I bought last year and they look brand new. They have a website where you can purchase it or if you got to any of the motorcycle rally's around the country they will most likely be there selling it.

I have been using Armor All leather treatment for 4 years. It has really kept the seats and backrest soft and looking good. Also conditions the saddlebags and lever covers.

I've been using Meguiar's Gold Class Leather Cleaning/Conditioning Wipes. They do a good job of bringing some depth of colour and shine to the bags after a wash, but leave behind an almost ArmourAll-like greasyness. I would like to try Doc Bailey's Leather Black, but I haven't found it available in Canada and ordering it up from the States would likely produce the Duty/Brokerage shock.

Just plain old black shoe polish. works great, and sometimes a good leather protector.

I use Mink Oil--put it on thick and then use a hair dryer to "melt" it into the seams. Do it several times until the leather won't absorb any more. Works on my work boots as well--just my 2 cents worth
