Question for all you DynaBeads experts. I had both tires replaced and gave them two 1oz bags of DynaBeads to install. Now when I'm on the highway doing around 80, I'm getting a wobble like I'm out of balance. How can I be sure these guys actually installed the beads? How do you check if they're in the tires?

have some one listen to the tire while you the handle bars left and right as far and fast as you can (with the egine off) a person should be able to hear them splashing around

That would be a really good ear... If you have a tube tire (spokes) and you put your bike up on a jack, with the valve stem down to the lowest spot, let some air out and cover it with a clean (preferably dark color) cloth, you will see a few beads on the cloth.

To cure the "Wobble", you can add another ounce of beads and if that doesn't help, you might have a bad tire, or it's not aligned 100% Is it an over sized tire?

To answer the original post, if a Stealer wants to charge you that much to put dyna-beads in the tire, he was really trying to tell you that he didn't want to do the job, that's WAY too much.

The recomendation for quantity of Dyna Beads is 1 oz for 120 & narrower tires; 2 oz for 130 to 240; and 3 oz for 250+. I keep 1 & 2 oz packs on hand and the list price is $3.45 & $6.10; I sell them to Clinic members for $2.50 & $3.85. An applicator to install them through the valve stem is $2.00. When mounting a tubeless tire they can be put in with the tire half mounted. For a mounted tubeless or for tubes you feed them in through the valve stem. The stock tires for the RoadStar should have 2 oz each. I will send 2 2oz packs and the applicator priorty mail for $15.00 anywhere in the USA, foreign will be + whatever the extra postage is.
