Hey, if it works for ya, go for it, the first sign you see when walking into most custom seat builders building is..."WE ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO WORK ON A CORBIN SEAT", and that don't mean cause they don't need worken on, most other brands they will rebuild for you.
I suspect this is because of corbin's proprietary foam.
Glad it fits ya Gram, happy scooting, hey, they wouldn't still be in business if some folks weren't happy with them.
I'm real happy with them Thanks.

Hi Bartish,
Are your feet positioned further forwards or further backwards than the soft tail?
I was just thinking that you may just need to relocate the position of your feet to help your back, Another thought is to seek out a specialist in Body Ergonomics, they may be able to tell you what to change to make you more comfortable it depends on the nature and position of you back problems that is for sure.
I hope you get it worked out but at this point you have to ask yourself which is going to be cheaper a heritage Soft tail or a specialist and more mods?.
Please let us know how you resolve this problem.

Hey Bartish
I am 5'11 170lbs. I installed risers first with my stock seat and it delayed the misery about another hour. Mostly pain in my lower back and arse.
I installed an Ultimate seat about 5000 miles ago and it immediately took away the ass burn and lower back pain but I get a little sore in my neck and shoulders after a few hours. The seat definitely made a better ride, although it repositioned me enough that I will have to look at handlebar adjustment.
Like the Ultimate seat
Good luck!

I'm 6'2" and 215 lbs. My cure for my lower back pain was a drivers backrest and footpegs mounted on the floorboards.

+1 on the Corbin. I had an older Corbin and then moved the the Yami Comfort Cruise which is basically the same as a Corbin. Works great for me. I'm 6'1" and 230. Don't have any trouble with back or butt pain but wouldn't mind havin baby apes. I think they might make for a little more comfy riding position.

I had similar problems riding my stock 03. I'm 5'10" and 203 lbs, 31 inch inseam. I bought a used Mustang seat set with drivers backrest. It solved about 80% of my problem. I rotated my bars up and now need to move my bars back about 2 inches with risers. I feel I need to move my foot controls foward a little. I believe cutting the heel part of the shifter off and cutting the foot brake pedal in half will give me more room to adjust my feet. The Mustang seat made a big difference. My wife says her seat is also greatly improved. As a suggestion get your chiropractor (?) to look at your posture while seated on the bike he may offer good suggestions on the seat arrangement. Good luck!

I switched from corbin to Ultimate a few weeks ago and OMG!! What a difference. My butt and back feel awesome but I soon will be doing apes and highway pegs to stretch out.

I'm 6'2" and 185 lbs. I have the stock bars, risers and floorboard positions and run the Corbin duel tour seat. I also have lower back problems. My seat doesn't help my back one bit and after riding 50 miles the monkey butt sets in. I would like to try the Ultimate seat but the cash is a bit short right now. Before I buy another seat though I'll probaly change bikes and then deal with the seat on it.
