Mine is an '01 bought her in March with 28K. Now she has 38k. Changed tires, brakes, oil and plugs.

I've got 41000 km which is about 20000 mi.And runs great put a new battery in this year and will need new tires for next season.I bought it with 35000 kms. this spring no disappointments.

bought mine 4/09 with 9800 mi now have 33,000 no problems nothin broke, I ride her hard,and often.

Bought my 1999 RS in May 2009 with 74,000 miles on it, I only got to ride it 3 weeks before a kid in a truck pulled out in front of me and totaled both of us.

Thanks to the great guys on here and e-bay I had it put back together in September of 2009 and I just noticed it rolling up on 90,000 miles one day last week as I was clearing the tripometer for fueling.

Local dealership did the tranny recall August 2009 and it went 4,600 miles with a K&N filter and Rotella T 15w-40 oil before it got enough color to the oil, to see it on the stick without holding it up in front of a light.

Just to say this aint some honeymoon glow, I have been riding since my SL125 Honda back around 1972 and I have had several different kinds of bikes and although I like just about anything on 2 wheels, I really do love my Road Star.

Riding home from ice cream cones with my wife one evening last week, as the road got dark and the clouds turned black/purple with gold and silver edges, leaned back against the best girl for me and digging on the glub, glub, glub, grumble grumble, glub, glub of the big fat shotgun pipes, as we motored along accelerating and decelerating our way along the winding two lane, I leaned back and turned enough to talk and told her; "You know, if sex made a noise like my bike .. it would be just perfect."

We rode along for a couple more minutes and she said; "Ummm ..."

I like to think she was agreeing.

WOW! That's cool cause I bought my 2001 with 3200 miles on it. I bought mine July of 2008, now has 21.000. I thought I was doing good, but you blow my record away!

'07 bought new 8/1/08 - 27,773 miles and counting. Will be close to 30k after trip down to Fayetteville AR this weekend. Just bought 3rd set of tires.
