Well not sure if i'm right on this issue but after 30,213 miles. mine has never needed adjustment. My bike get's dealer serviced all the time and they said this past spring it wasn't needed. Like everyone else has said, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

my bike has 40000 on it done the valve adjustment two times and both times I adjusted them because I had it that far apart, but they didnt need it. each time just one of the cylinders wasnt spot on so I tweeked it they were both well with in tollerance set by the manual but I need to justify the time it took away from rideing.
