You mess with one, you mess with the entire club. i assume the draw a weapon comment was in response to my comment. don't get me wrong, I am never an advocate of violence, but I just think it is flat ridiculous for anyone to tell me what color I can/should have on anything I own. If I happened to have a certain color bike and accessories, and certain people didn't like it....tough! My only point is that at the instance someone wants to take their opinion about colors to the next level, I would not have anything of it and defend myself accordingly. I'm "what the braided leather rope for?" He was telling me that they originally go way back when you would have one to beat off a dog that was chasing you. Back when bikes were slow. He also said you would put in on the clutch handle, not the brake so you could keep on the throttle and still whip the dog. Later the biker thing took it over and it became a colors thing. Urban legend maybe? I thought at first it was some type of weapon but to be honest, if some biker whipped that 36 inch whip at me, I'd start laughing and say something stupid like "what are you gay or something?"
