Mine is an 05. Love this bike. Road about 80 miles today in 96-99 degree heat with no problem. I have always run the regular grade gas in it also and runs great.

I have an 06 roadie and I like the bike, but you really need to ride the roadliner before you buy. You won't believe the power difference. I like the roadie alot but they aren't the most powerful cruiser on the market. If I had it to do over again I would have bought the roadliner. 25 more hp makes a huge difference.

The Road Liner is a great bike and rides great, one of my buddys has one, I like the look of the Road Star, but if you want power the Suzuki M109R that thing is a monster, I say ride all the bikes you like then go back home sit and think... Any choice you make will be a good one, the Jap cruiser have come a long way.. Good Fortune..

i rode a customers roadliner a few months back.

no getting away from it, it´s an impressive machine. loads of bottom end, pulls like a train, power whenever you need it, handles beautifully, injection spot on, and plenty of space for tall riders.

for me the negative points were.....

styling - a pretty subjective thing really. you either love it or hate it. there are some nice details, but IMO they went a bit arty-farty on other bits.

midrange vibes - due to the lighter crank, the midrange high frequency vibes i found a bit intrusive. most noticeable at around 70+mph, which happens to be the start of my cruising speed.

clinical - i dunno really, it just felt a bit too clinical for my taste. i´m no luddite by any stretch of the imagination, but i do like the odd rough feeling `edge´ to my bikes. the sort of mechanical feedback type of sensation that you get with the roadie just isn´t there. the best way i can explain it is `a bit too gold wing´ for my taste.

having said all that, it´s a good bike, and i´m sure that anyone who chooses one will be very happy with it.

but i´ll stick to a roadie!
