Really depends on how it's failing, and how far gone it is,,To me, it seems these roadies need every amp they can get and a battery that is slowly dying can be charged enough by a small charger just enough to start, then an hour later be down just enough to not start...MHO.... the problem with regular use of the charger is you never become aware that the battery is getting weak until it's too late....again...MHO

One of the things they don't tell you in the adds is you can run several batteries in parallel and charge all.

Maybe I'm wrong but as batteries get older they will not hold their charge and later will not even take a charge at all. So, do we think that the battery will last longer if we use a battery tender. I think the purpose of the tender is for those who go months without starting or riding their bikes.....Steve.

The only con I see is when you have one you want another, I've got 3.
One on the bike, one on the truck and one on the van Quick connect on all three. Got five years on the bike's original battery.
jmho.

Amazon.com has them right now for $23.30. Free shipping if you spend more then $25. I just bought one, and my wife needed a new book, so win/win. lol

Here's the link.
