Any recommendations for MC Ins. Companies? 1 Year, 7 Months ago
Coverage, Payments, Reliability?

TYIA

Update,...after chopping up and re-shaping the new Mustang seat and finally making it livable between fill-ups, adding the Sheepskin butt pad was Angel Icing on the cake, man, what a difference, I think I'll put second and third story fuel tanks on top the factory one now

Jona,
After having State Farm insurance on everything I've owned for decades, I switched to Progressive after the first year on my '08 Road* for a significant premium reduction. Subsequent renewals were even less. I'll stay with Progressive on my Road* for now but I'm sure others will chime in with their horror stories about Progressive and their favorites.
Good luck!

+1 more on Progresive, no Claim Yet and Hope I never do. Talked to My Nationwide agent (Car Ins.) and He told Me to stay with Progressive. Over 90% of all MC accidents are cause by cagers anyway. Price wasn't even Close either.

State Farm isn't much of an insurance company.

That said, I have Progressive also. My premiums are quite reasonable ( around $300 a year for full coverage ). Never had to use them, hope I never have to use them.

And I hope I don't get hit by someone who is covered by State Farm. They don't pay!

Cost depends on where you live...southern FL insurance in WAY more than Colorado as an example. I have Geico and I pay $209 a year and I have the most coverage I could put on it. covered $3500 extra (in addition to blue book) for my pipes, bars, chrome etc.. roadside, blah blah blah..you name it I got it covered. Only had to use it once to get the bike towed when I burned my stator to a crisp. The lady I talked to when I called was really cool and they had somebody there with a flatbed in no time

Had State Farm for 20 years on everything. Got tired of their high premiums so I did some checking. I ended up going with Allstate and save $1100 a year on everything. Bad thing is on the FIRST day of my new insurance I crashed my 05 and they totaled it. They were great about it paid off quick and took great care of me and did raise my premiums. I bought the bike back from they for a reasonable price and am rebuilding it. Two weeks after my crash I bought my 07 and they insured it I am really impressed with them and would recommend them to anyone. Just wish I had crashed the bike on State Farms dime instead after 20 years of them ripping me off.

Good to hear from some folks that have made claims, I just received an MC quote from Progressive, my friggen car insurance is cheaper, and I have an umbrella policy, too bad it only covers cars

Like VW says, location is everything. I like to go through an independent agent 'cause they have always gotten me the cheapest deal. Don't mean the best but the telling is in the fist payout.
