Ignition Module 4 Years, 11 Months ago
Just got back from the post office with my 1700 module. I will be putting it on this evening when I get home. Any tips short cuts that will make the install easier would be appreciated.

Thanks again to Musky for alerting me on the sale on the RSR forum...

This little mod won't take long, you won't even have time to finish the first beer. First, disconnect the battery and remove it from the box. Second, remove the left side cover. You will see a bracket that holds a fuse and a relay,
there is one 10mm nut holding this bracket on. Remove the nut and you should have enough slack in the wire just to pull it up out of the way. The module is right behind this bracket and is held in by a little rubber bungee like the one across the top of the battery. Unhook the bungee, remove the connections from the old module and reinstall everything in the reverse order. Your done, now you can finish that beer!!!!

I am a happy camper. The 1700 module is in and working great. I little more umph between the rev limiter. Still hits it in first pretty fast but man does she wind in 2nd and 3rd. Haven't let it wind out in fourth to fast for my blood. Almost 90 in 3rd. Course with the speedo off probably a little slower, but plenty fast enough for this old fart....
