1999 Yamaha Road Star stock exhaust pipes 7 Years, 10 Months ago  
What model do | need for my Road Star as I've found 2 model numbers at a used bike shop and they are 4WM1 and 5EL5 Which one do I need to buy This information would help me a lot in restoring my 99 back to stock . Thanks<br><br>Post edited by: mil, at: 2004/07/30 18:00

Can't help you with the numbers. I suspect that one is the 99-03 and the other is and 04.

Just for your into, the going price for stock pipes seems to be $0 - 50.

He's asking $300 for them. 250 for the ones with road scrapes. There's one set that looks like it's brand new. I'd just like to have a set for when I sell the bike, it'll help the sale because people like the noise and some don't. Thanks anyway but I have to know for sure. I guess I can always look for another roadstar owner to give the numbers off their bike. Is there anybody out there that would be able to check the numbers off your stock exhaust. I have a 99 road star silverado 1600cc.

4WM1 is what are on my stock '00 pipes.

$300 or $250 for scraped! You're getting rippped off. Don't buy them. Go to the RoadStar Riders Forum and ask if anyone has a set to sell. Some guys can't even give them away for shipping.

Perfect. Looks like you may have identified the 4WM1 as the pipe which will fit mine. I hope I can find something in the Road Star forum, and if not, I'll probably have to go with those other ones.

I have a 99 Road Star Silverado and I also have a set of stock pipes. The number stamped on my stock pipes is 4WM1
