Colorado pipes law? 1 Year, 5 Months ago
Just read on another website about a new Colorado pipe law saying the pipes have to have an EPA stamp on them and can't be over 82db. Is that true?

Not living in Colorado right now, moved away three years ago with the Navy, and going back in a year to the Denver area, so watching this on closely. The only thing I've seen so far is in reference to the Denver area....

From a story in the Rocky Mountain News....goes into effect tomorrow.

"The new law, which won't go into effect until July 1, would allow police to cite motorcycles made after 1982 if they lack mufflers with a factory-issued federal noise-rating stamp.

Rubin emphasized that the new law won't necessarily mean more aggressive enforcement of noise laws."

The morning after it passed it was all over local talk radio. A new bunch of crap cash cow!!!! The cops are NOT equipped with DB meters. They can only look for OEM or EPA stamps. So if you have stock pipes with a stage 3 (louder than my Doolies) your ok. But I can be busted with my Doolies. I'm keeping my stockers just in case.
The last poker run I went on was 1,100 bikes. Bring it on!!!!

I don't believe so MUSKY. I think it is a Denver law.

What's wrong with you! There are no aircraft carriers in Colorado, just subs.

They're tunneled in from the coast.....
