I marked the locations for the sensors last night before removing the exhaust. For the time I have installed the Cobra slip ons and stock headers. I removed the FIRE unit from in between the ECU and injectors. Took it for a test run and everything seemed great. No leaks and the power was surprising. I had never ran it with the air kit, pipes, and stock ECU.

Bill, if you can give me specs as to where yours are placed that would be great. I can compare that against what I have. I tell you there isn't alot of choice.

It does seem that I will either need to extend the back cylinder sensor wire or re-route it somehow. It's bolted in place behind the side cover so extending may be the answer.

The only thing left to do is locate the proper bungs. I googled them and found a place in Cal but I'm not sure they are correct after looking at mine.

Anyone have a line on those?

Jerry:

The bungs are just metric nuts. If you take the sensors with you to the muffler shop, they'll probably have the right ones.

They don't have anything that fits. I was looking around. Do you know if our bungs are M18-1.5m? If so I found some that look correct on fleabay.

Actually, if the M18 refers to diameter I know it's not correct. Looks more like 12.

I'm not sure of the exact size. If you take the sensors to Home Depot or Lowes, in the nuts & bolts section, you can check the size and thread configuration so you know what to buy.

Or, if you have a metric bike shop (GXRs, CBRs, etc.) in your area, they might have what you need. Might even be able to weld them for you.

Jerry,
The front cylinder O2 sensor is connected to the plug thats strapped to the lower frame rail. The rear cylinder O2 sensor is connected to the plug that comes from under the right side cover. The O2 sendor on the upper pipe is located just to the rear of the transfer case cover. The Speedstar pipes come with the extension wire for this O2 sensor and according to my installation instructions for the pipes is not avaialble separately. Speedstar does a nice job of providing what you need to complete the job.
Perhaps a local muffler shop that does custom exhaust work has the bungs you are looking for.
Good luck with you project!
