The Ultimate seat will fix your problem and they engrave the star logo right on it.

I just got my Mustang seat back from a seat shop. I had it carved to fit the shape of my butt. They also put 1/2 inch gel and a thin layer of memory foam on both seats. Both seats cut to fit myself and the wife was only $225. I won't find how they ride until spring but just sitting on them there is a big difference.
BTW the seat pan on the harley seat wont fit the shape of the R* but you might be able to strip the foam and material from it and install it on an R* seat pan. But you would probably be further ahead to Ebay the harley seat and put the money towards fixing your seat or buying another. Before you buy a Corbin read some reveiws on them as some of them are very narrow and all are very firm

Here is a link to some pictures of the Ultimate set. Seat I am having to go to a different seat on my 05 because my legs are too short to reach the foot pegs on the forward controls and I have to stretch to reach the T-bars as well. I have the set on my 07 bagger with floor boards and they are great. You might want to keep that in mind if you have forward controls I am 5'-8" 31 inseam.

Ha! You want a tough seat to ride on, try a Honda Aero 750! They're the worst! After about 20 minutes, you're numb from the waist down! Here's what a lot of guys do to theirs. I was going to do it to mine, but since I'm going to put it up for sale in the spring (don't need it now!), I'll leave it to the new owner for worry about!
Here's a link (might try it on the R*): http://www.americanasoftseats.com/gelpads.htm
