The first bike I mean ride I had was a 2002 Honda Elite 50cc scooter and sold it for $200.00. Thats what got me into riding. I then bought a 1982 Honda Nighthawk CB450C and a 1985 Honda Sabre VF1100S, then traded both for a 2000 Honda Shadow ACE VT750C. When my brother both his 2008 Harley Streetglide I sold my ACE for $2400.00 and bought my roadstar from him. Out of all the rides I loved riding the ACE then most because it was light and easy to handle, but on the freeway and long ride I prefer my roadie. Also forgot to mention I just purchased a 1985 Suzuki GS550L as my winter project. Just got it running and love it too.

99 roadie and an 89 sportster... i love em both and they both have their own purpose

but i absolutely play favorites with my roadie!

A kawasaki kz1000 i bought new in 1977 and still ride along with a 1976 kawasaki kz900 .

After owning/riding the R* for 1yr along with being the 1st v-twin i have owned i prefer the R* but i still like riding the feel when riding the nimble/respopnsive/quick Kawi's with smooth running and great sounding rock solid dependable inline 4cyl motors they have.

I have owned the 77 kz1000 for approx 34 yrs (just turned 26k miles) and the only part i had to replace other then maint items like tires/brakes/batteries/oil & filters etc was a rectifier for $25 back in the day and that's it.

I did replace the stock points ign with a high perf aftermarket elec ign system for perf sake,the stock point ign worked fine and was reliable,i just wanted to upgrade for perf sake.

Also installed a Kerker 4 into ex system & jetted the carbs but still have the stock ex system still in very good cond stored away in box.

I am thinking of selling both Kawai's to make room in the garage,obtain some needed $,and maybe even live longer not riding the Kawasaki like i was a young kid when i'm an old fart/55yrs old & could kill myself in a heartbeat ridding that rocket compaired to your avg R*./LOL!!!!!

Hang on the KZ900! I can't believe I had to remind you of that. Let me restate, don't sell that KZ900! Very few widow makers left in this world!

I have a 1975 Harley FLH; a 1976? 350 Honda; 1983 Yamaha, Venture; 2001 Yamaha, Roadstar; and a 2006 Harley, Road King. I ride the Road* the most and the two HDs are tied for second place. The best bike on the road just happens to be the one that I'm riding at that time. None of the other bikes even come close to it. IMHO
