#337810 laxdad (User) Junior Boarder Posts: 127 Good deal or no? 2 Years, 4 Months ago   Just one quick question. Is $5700 a good deal on an '04 Midnight Star Silverado with 4800 miles on it? Looked the bike over, can't find any obvious problems. Has good tires, V&H Lonshots, AIS removed, and is very clean, like showroom clean. Oil was just changed, and all maintenance records come with it. Started up instantly, even in the 20 something degree weather we were having yesterday, and only took about 5 minutes to run well off choke, so it seems to be well tuned. Anything else I should be looking at, and am I off my rocker thinking I better buy it? I will definitely be seeing if I can work him down a little, but not sure if that will happen at all. For comparison, at a dealer just down the road, they have a 99 R* with 19k miles on it for $5000, and that's the cheapest I've been able to locate one around these parts. Ironman not sure what year your bike is but would you take a low ball offer for your bike? And Jona yours is a 2004 same as the one this member is thinking about buying, How about I offer you say $4000 for your bike will you sell it? I mean your bike is 7 years old so really according to you guys it's not worth much. All dealer prices are starting points for negotiation. No dealer expects you to really pay full asking price. The Midnight Star Silverado with just 4,800 miles is good for the $5k to $5,500. If you want it, just do it!
