First bike was a 1969 Honda Trail 90...what a blast. Then years later I bought a Yamaha Virago 250, then up to a Honda Shadow Aero 750...and now my current 05 M*, best bike I've had so far...although I wouldn't mind a late model Goldwing.

Curt, you liked those Trumpets? nice bikes but kinda on the small side...I was a Norton lad myself...back in UK in those days Norton was 750cc and a big bike...except for the Vincent Black Shadow...I had one of those for short while....make a HD look sick??!!!

Yes old the Black Shadow was awesome I never did find one to buy while I was over there. I think if I had I would have shipped it back to the US. I almost bought a new Triumph to send back home by the time I came back they had the bigger bikes.

A 1983 (I thought this was awesome since I was also born in '83.) Yamaha Venture. I paid $400 for it about 2 years ago now. Second gear was stripped, none of the lights worked, and no idea how many miles she had on her. The odometer was stuck at 57k and change. She had been sitting in a shed for a couple years, but after a lot of cleaning and a few new wires, she would turn right right over, all of her lights worked, and she taught me the love of riding. Still had to double shift from 1st to 3rd though. Now I'm on my second bike, the Road Star, and couldn't imagine riding anything else.

I started out riding ATC's when I was about 7. Got my first bike, a 1986 Honda XR250l, which I also paid for, in '88. I really loved that bike. Got the speed bug in 1996 and bought a new Suzuki RF600R. Kept it for a little over a year and traded it for a ski boat. Finally got back on two wheels in '09 when I got my road star and still smiling.
