A Bonanza minibike with 3 1/2hp Tecumsah engine. It would top out at 30mph, or about 20mph slower than Bruce Penhall flying by us on his tricked out Honda Mini trail.

Re:Your first motorcycle...... 2 Years, 3 Months ago
I learned on the street, and have only riden street bikes. My dad bought me a used honda CL 175 when I was 15. Got a permit, then my license. Couple years later on my own I bought a honda CB 350, but my eye was on a 750..but my money wasn't. At 19 I finally bought a Honda 750. Man that bike was so big....and screaming fast. Had it for a couple years, then got married and started having kids. For the next 30 years a bike was only in my thoughts and dreams. My kids knew it and knew why I didn't own one all those years. When my oldest daughter was in high school she always said she wants to be in a place in her life where she can buy me a motorcycle when I turn 50. That happened in 2005, and bless her heart, she did just that and this roadie and 42,000 breath-taking miles later...and still loving it!!!

You're a lucky man and must have been a good father for her to do that for you. That's a great story.
