yes Doc, it is a Kandy. The base is a dark orange, almost red, and the flames are slightly darker. When the sun shines right on it the orange jumps out. The painter is a local guy (here is southern Ontario) who does primarily hockey helmets. He has done helmets for Dominik Hasek, and Patrick Lalime to mention a couple.

I suspect we have the same paint. I used HOK Gold base coat with Red Kandy Apple. I have about 5 or 6 coats (can't remember ) of the Kandy so it quite dark until the sun hits it. I have to redo the frame as it does not have enough Kandy on it so it a bit more orange than the tins. Doc

Gunner, it was done at Armor Graphics in Waterford. Waterford is less than a half hour south west of Brantford. Cory was really good to deal with.

The price was the best part. I had it quoted from two different painters in the Toronto area that were each about 2500. Cory did it for under 1000. That is Primer, base coat, the flames, the pin striping, and the air brushing on the end of every flame tip, and 6 coats of clear. He did the front fender, gas tank, rear fender, side covers, and saddle bags.

I would recommend him.
