roadliner or stratoliner 1 Year, 3 Months ago
hey guy's

I have seen over the years that some of the guy's have
added the roadliner to there fleet of bikes !

it's seem to me that i fit the roadliner series better
than the roadstar ! (more room in the seat area plus
the bike just feels better) I have not taken the bike
for a ride yet !!! to compare

would it be a good choice over the roadstar? I have 2003
roadstar silverado that a bought new.

just can't get this roadstar to fit me

thanks

I was looking at the Stratoliner before i got the 09 roadstar Two things stop me from buying one first the style not my cup of tea then the price. But thats just my two cents if you think if fits you i say take one for a ride and see what happens good luck.

I think only you can make that determination. What fits for one guys doesn't fit for another. I love my Roadstar but there are a few problems with the stock bike--in my opinion. I don't think the seat is comfortable. The bike is not made for a tall person. I need to stretch my legs out a bit more. And, it sure could use a 6th speed and a bit more natural power.

I'm sure you can trade your current bike in.

hey kryinggame

you nail it ! 6'1" i think tall guys just don't
have the room in the seat !! I tried many seat's.
(we just can't get that seat back far enough)

thinking of re-doing my mustage seat but not sure
what to do!!!

I love the bike but this 1-hr on 15min rest then
1-hr ride then off again. I think it's time for
a change!

just a note: my friend let me ride his 2004 hertiage
softail over the summer. stock bike with pipes only
rode that bike for 5 hrs (no pain) what a joy that was!!!!

never did that with my roadstar ever

Yeah that's one of the factors that sold me on selling my Road Star and getting a Road King... it just fits me better and is 100 times more easy to handle... and way more comfortable all around in my opinion - and I'm 6'2".

Try out as many bikes as you can before you buy one - it'll make a difference long-term.

Just my $.02

The first production bike that I owned had 3 Speeds forward and I wished it had 4. Than I got a bike with a 4 speed trany and I wanted a 5th gear. Now most of my bikes have 5 speeds and I wish I had 6. I think that no matter how many gears my bike has, I will always be looking for one more. That's just the way it is, for me anyway.

Just my 2 cents,Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, to tall for r*. I'm 6'2" and have no complaint about the fit. I have stock seat w/backrest and stock handle bars. I do have pegs mounted to floorboards which allow me to stretch my long legs(inseam 35"out. I do agree that the stock seat is not comfortable on long trips. Plan to get Ultimate when I can afford it.

You need to try and ride one somewhere. They are a bigger platform for sure. Amazing what an inch or two here and there will do (sorry to hear the bad news Jona)

The stock seats are better, but you still going to want to find an aftermarket replacement. I put on a Corbin (which is what I have ridden on for as long as I could get them).

Overall amazing bike.
