We ride in a lot of heat down here and that is cheap insurance for my engine and drive. Pros ... quieter engine You'll get lots of responses to oil but I run Mobile Red Cap 15W50 in mine. It's an automobile oil; API Service Classification SJ. You can't buy it any more but I have enough for 3 more seasons. If you can pick some up in Brandon at an-out-of-the-way-hole-in-the-wall place then stock up. It's the good stuff. There may be an issue with the newer auto oils (SL) having friction modifiers so I would be careful. I think you can use appropriate weight diesel oil. Nowadays you can also switch back and forth if need be.
