Well chit if Yami can sell ringitup errrrrr ring free for 18 bucks a pop I think I will sell bottled H20 for 1 buck less and call it Aintfree..By the way you avoid damage to the rings by spraying often and before it gets to the point of locking up ..By the way Starmyram everbody know carbon is petroleum based so Dawn would be the liquid to use.hmm...so that would be my secret ingredient for Aintfree Coug

Before all these expensive top end cleaners we know have, we used to use water.

You mist the water through carb and that helps blow the carbon out. But you have to be careful not to jet too much water in - it doesn't compress well.

I have used water also, too clear up carbon build up in my old pontiac...
Sounds like SVS, from running rich usually in the low rpm... where these bikes are most the time, if the raincoat changes the way it runs, that would be weird.
Hope its all cleared out and runs good from know on..

I suppose you had to start the old IHC pumpengine to pump the water out of the well into a pail and carry it for 500feet uphill in to the garage too...
(I'm just yanking your chain Doc. The way you said that phrase made you sound kind of old. Expensive top-end cleaners have been around for quite some time now!)
Of course if your IHC pumpengine got carboned up, then you wouldn't need to pack the water very far to fix it....
but if the pumpengine got carbon and SVS and would not run to pump the water, you couldn't pump any water to de-carbon the pumpengine.
Ahhhh, Then maybe you'd have to wait for rain!

At Grandma's when it was too cold for the hand-crank IHC pumpengine to start, I used to pump water by hand and haul it in to the sheet metal tin bathtub in the kitchen and heat the water on the cookstove, and hauling it back outside after it was used really sucked! ...A lot of hassle just to take a bath!
(I'm not THAT old! This was only 20 years ago!)

Well, Goodnight. I'm getting too tired to make any sense.

You had a pumpengine for the well!

You were lucky ... all I had was a handle on my pump.

We never used much water when taking a bath.

Yup, the more ya used, the more ya had to pack it in and pack it back out of the house. There sure wasn't any 500 gallon hot-tubs around at Grandma's.

Actually, this little shower unit in our RV works great and is pretty efficient too. We can get 2 adults and 2 kids cleaned up using about 1.5 gallons each. (Kinda makes me think how much water we use around the house that is really just "wasted" and taken for granted. Theres lots in the well, and we have drains to take it away.)
