I have been looking into these on a few fronts. I have a Chevy K5 Blazer with 35" tires and I could use these for balancing. There is some information on using AirSoft BBs to do this and then there are companies making balancing specific beads, like DynaBeads.

On the plus side, I have heard they dynamically balance the tires and will increase the life of the tire.

On the downside, I have heard some people say you can hear the beads moving around in the tire. You should also not use tire lubricant paste when mounting the tires because it will cause the beads to clump making the balance situation worse.

DryRiver,
What brand of beads are you using?

I bout a 10oz bag of Dyna beads for the bike and used 2oz in ea tire. I haven't had a chance to ride the bike yet. But I had a tire vibration on my car so I split the remaining 6oz between my two front tires and no more vibration . I didn't even bother to take off the old wheel wts. I bought the 10oz bag for around $20 at a local shop. I couldn't have had the car tires rebalanced for that much. I mounted the bike tires myself and didn't want to pay someone else to balance them.

I had them (Dyna-beads) in my M/C tires since new, also aired the tires with Nitrogen, they wore great, and rode smooth, no vibration from 5mph to 105mph. Got 11,000 mile on the first set of tires (could have probably got another 3-5K from the font) Replace both front and back when I went to the Darkside (Car/van tire on the back) and I'm running Dyna-beads in both again. I have 2oz in the back tire and 1oz in the front and over 5,000 miles on them so far,and they run great too! I love them
