New spring arrived! 4 Years, 10 Months ago
Just had my new progressive spring delivered from Looney (with the loaner spring removal tool) and I'm ready to tear into my baby once again. Calling for rain the next couple of days, so perfect time to be fixing stuff. I did the flip a few months back, turned up the preload all the way and have been fine for solo riding (as you can see I'm set up for), but my wife and son have been bugging me to go for a ride so I finally broke down and ordered the spring. I'll let everyone know how it works. I actually have a growing list of women who want to go for a ride, so I may be busy after this mod!

Maybe you should have bought a back seat instead.

If I didn't know better Doc, I'd think you were fool'in with me! I'm actually in the process of finding a studded pillion that goes with the stock seat. Everything is too thick or only goes with the matching solo seat from that vendor. I don't want a suction cup kind...so the search continues!

Post edited by: Yamahawg, at: 2007/07/27 12:11

Like mine, it doesn't look like you intend to go long distance with anyone but most women seem to find a seat wider than the OEM much more comfortable.

If a woman needs a wider seat than OEM, I need a narrower woman! Your right thou...short trips only. (like from the bar to her place) Thats where the long ride comes into play!
