That is pretty wild. I believe I counted 6 exhaust pipes. I also looked at the chain saw bike. I think some of these people have to much time on their hands.

I bet that would make a great 1/4 mile bike. The rotary engine gives you six power pulses per revolution of the crank shaft. That's a truck load of power. I had an 1973 RX3 station wagon and it could really move out. I don't know what the top speed was but I had it up to 135mph once. Made the trip to the hospital in time for my son to be born in the hospital. Some bike maker had a 650cc rotary engine but I can't remember who. Suzuki, Yamaha, I don't know. I think I might build a bike with the Mazda engine.

Yep I had to go back and look at it again and it is seven. I did not realize that radial engines only came in odd numbers.

I rode the rotary engine bike you are talking about ONCE in the late 70's I believe. It ran smooth as hell and I kinda laughed when I looked at the tach and saw what I considered rediculous numbers on it. I took it around the block to get the feel of it, then found a long straightaway and cranked into the throttle. I felt like a bucket of mush untill it hit it's power range and then Something like the kawi two stroke triples but even more exagerated. I changed my underwear and returned the bike and was quite happy with my piston engine after that.
I think the were only made for a few years.

I believe they had some major problems with the apex seals and the rotor body seal. Excessive oil consumption and over heating were some of the other issues. I want to use a full size RX7 engine. Even though it would not need it I want to put a gearbox and a hydraulic clutch on it.
