Installed my new Barons progressive spring and I'm enjoying the noticable difference. No...I didn't submit a new picture so you could see my spring, but while I was in there I did remove that ugly black plastic splash guard and installed a stainless steel one. Love the more open look. Also have changed my air cleaner and added some pinstripping.

Yamahawg,
I remember a couple of months ago you were debating on which air kit to go with. So which one did you end up with? If it's the one in your sig pic, I like it. Has a nice, clean look. And small!!! Just curious 'cause it looks like I may have to change mine out sooner than I'd planned. I'm running the Arlen Ness Big Sucker and the rubber boot connecting the air cleaner to the carb is dry rotting and Ness doesn't make this kit any more or have replacement parts available, and I'd like to stick with something similar in shape and size.

Thanks!!!

In The Wind,
Aaron

I couldn't find one that I liked...so I made my own! That air cleaner is a chrome faced, universal K&N filter that fits right on the mouth of the carb and I added a home made bracket for extra support. I too was looking for something small (like the size of a velocity stack) to open up the motor but could never find what I was looking for. If you want more details or photo's, just let me know.

For a replacement rubber hose, try radiator hose.

I believe that's to me.

Doc, I don't know if a radiator hose would work; it'd have to be pretty big! Big enough to fit over the mouth of the carb, plus Ness threw a kink (literally) into the works by making the boot offset by about 1/2"-3/4", and oval where it goes into the back of the air cleaner. Would definitely take some fabricating to get any type of hose to work. But it might be worth a try.

And Yamahawg, that being said, I might take you up on the offer for more info and pics of your air kit.

Thanks again!!!

Aaron

Yamahawg... Nice! I really like that breather. Like how it makes the motor look that much bigger. Nice clean look. Let me know how much they cost and when I can expect it to be shipped.
