You would think that the morons that manufacture bars would know that when you powder coat a 1" diameter piece of tube, it will end up larger than 1" when finished. Of course, everything that is made for our bikes is made for 1" bars.... This is becoming a real PITA. Didn't like the shape, so I cut them in 3 pieces, rotated the sides and welded them. Ground the welds, bondo and paint. Drilled the weights out of the old bars, turned them down to fit the new and welded them in. Now I'm not even sure I like the darn things. I have a set of black raider drag bars sitting on my bench right now. I have to modify the triple covers on the liner to make them work. It never ends, thankfully. I love a good challenge.
