Re:Need some riser advise 1 Year, 2 Months ago
I've ran the chrome Scootworks PhatRiser II for the past 2 years and liked it...just took them off the other day to make the move to 16" apes... I could make ya a deal on my risers if you're interested! I had to relocate my cables behind the triple tree and also get a longer brake hose with these risers though...

Let me know if you're interested!

Ben

Next months toy purchase for the roadstar (got to keep the purchase rate slow or she who must be obeyed gets pissed off)

http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?Category_ID=65&manufacturer_ID=5&product_ID=8712&sblid_name=Pro_One_Handlebar_Tach_and_Riser_Kit__White_Face__Ball_Milled_Finish___Yamaha_for_Yamaha_650_V_Star_Custom&model_id=37

They're 4" risers so I'll at maximum stretch on the cables.

I put these Pro One risers on the first year I had the bike (08) I was able to use the stock cables and brake line, just had to move a few things around to make it work.

http://www.pro-one.com/801250_4_Handlebar_Riser_Kit_p/801250.htm

2" inches up and 1 1/2 " pull back worked great for me. Like the chrome too has held up well for 2 plus years.

Went with the Barons DT riders about 3 months ago. Definitely great. Take a look at them.

How do you like those DT risers? How'd the install go for you?
