Coug, You may have "Plead Ignorant" but the whole thing IS real confusing, have you ever looked on the back of a "regular class-c licence, In small print it says that you can drive anything under 26,001 lbs,, tow a trailer less than 10,000 lbs,, and that all recreationl vehicles are included in this class..(that's not an exact quote but close).. As long as they ajust for the roadie VS a moped, I won't have a problem..

Don't know about GA , but in Texas, take the Motorcycle riders safety course and the only thing you need to do is pass the written portion of the exam. And you get up to 15% off your MC insurance.

Ga. requires you to pass both a written and riding test from a state approved school (riders edge) to receive a M on your license. Then 10% off the insurance. That too could be an option for you Flashback, as a lot of Harley dealers give the school. You pass, you get a M on your license once the paperwork arrives at your house and you take it to the DMV. I think it's like 350 bills these days, but it's schooling from Professionals, can't beat that. Cougs right, the more you learn (and apply) the better.BB

WHOOOooooo, HOOOooooo,! Went today and passed.... guess I'm offical now..The guy giving the test said, "if ya drop the bike it's an automatic failure". LOL, I said " I will ride off the course before I drop the bike" anyway, all went well, He liked the fact that I showed up with jacket, gloves, face shield, etc.. in 100% heat.. and then told me, I could take the jacket, and gloves off If I wanted. Thanks all for the support, I'm good till 2012.....now if my body will just hold out..

Congrates... In the last year and a half I have been through 3 road blocks. I am amazed at riders that don't have licenses. I like to be legal, less head aches. I am sure a insurance company could baulk if you didn't have a license and was involved in a accident...

Thanks guys, Hey Doc, am I legal in Canada? When I was a kid, my Pop used to take us up to Wood lake near a town called Bracebridge. (I think) anyway I have a lot of fond memories of it and would like to see it again..or maybe just leave it in the memories, It probably has condos around it now...

No ... we turn back all Americans at the border ... too rowdy.
As long as you have a legal MC/auto license you're OK. I don't know how the insurance works.
Bracebridge is nice country. So nice that all the people from Toronto flock there for the weekends. I'd keep the memories and head off somewhere less crowded ... unless you like that kind of thing.
You can head up the road to Huntsville or better yet to Algonquin Park if you want more 'rustic' surroundings. But there is a lot of places around ..... Canada is mostly wilderness dotted with occasional towns.
