Article in Sept. issue of MCN,says Minnesota is seeking permission from the EPA to allow sales of fuel that includes 20% etnanol.There is a pending waiver from EPA that would open the door to the sale of 20% ethanol blends across the country,without any evaluation of long term consequences. It could force out existing blends leaving some riders without a suitable fuel choice. Food for thought

Oh joy I don't know if they can just do something like that without having a source of fuel for people who can't run it.

Upgrade as in buy a new one? I doubt the news ones are set up to run it either. What do we do with the old one that can't be used anymore? Or upgrade the motor to be able to run it? What would that invlove? More Eth = worse mileage. Don't see the gain to begin with. It is driving food prices up. AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH

I mean no gain as far as independence from big oil. Yeah you can stretch a gallon farther by putting corn in it but the mileage drops so you are burning more. It's a wash there for the most part. So the only thing I can see that it is accomlishing is driving food prices up. And since more and more farms are being turned into condo land here we'll be having to buy foreign corn anyway.

Not that I'm bitter about it.
