Lowering passenger floorboards? 1 Year ago
I would like to be able to lower my stock Star boards. I don't think I can do the flip with my Longshots. Anyone out there have lowered theirs?

I flipped the brackets on mine, lowered about 2in.
looks like it still might work with your pipes,maybe...
also switched left to right side to move slightly forward.

I would try what Dave said but if you can't, because of your pipes, you can make a bracket similiar to the bag lowering brackets. The bottom two holes would need to be tapped and buy bolts just long enough to get through your new bracket. If you do, since it is for the passnger boards, I would use 3/8" steel instead of aluminum, as I did.

Do you saddlebag brackets mount there?

I took and drilled a another hole so that I could lower the Kuryakyn floorboards and push them forward. I was not able to do the complete flip since pipes are not low enough but this made a significant improvement on the positioning. The ISO floorboards I installed mount solid in the bracket and flip on their own so it didnt matter how the bracket was angled. This would be an issue for footpegs when folding and unfolding.
