Where is a good place to start? I only want to run it at 5000rpms, But I'm not sure about the RETARD(go ahead and laugh now) settings. Feel free to enlighten me! BB

Don't do anything with the retard. I forget what switches I have set but I am running 36A which is the most radical setting you can run with a stock motor. Don't even think about the B side until have done HC pistons and maybe a cam or such. Just pick which A setting you want to try and don't worry about the other switches let the TPS do the rest. Mine runs like a scalded cat.

Thanks Curt. I was going to start with 34a and go from there. The current(out of the box, unmoved by me ) setting for the retard is 12 degree's. that's where you have yours (or left yours). Bikes apart right now waiting for me to reassemble.BB

I have mine at 34A; haven't tried 36 yet.

Generally try the highest setting on the A side and if it pings move down one; or do it vice versa.

Don't go over 5000 rpm with a stck motor. Bleave me that is high enough I hardley every hit it unless it is in first ot second. With it set at 36A I have more than enoght torque in any gear to just twist the throttle and go with out gearing down.
