Funny how people with HDs think that the reason other people dont have them, is because they cant afford them. True, some people would have a hard time getting one, especially in this economy. They just cant wrap thier head around the idea that alot of people compare and find the roadie superior. I do. I could really make some of them blow a curcuit and tell them about the Heritage i damn near gave away to get my R*!

thats exactly what I was thinking. They think that EVERYONE wants a HD and anything else is "just fine". Even though most guys weren't negative towards the roadie, they still have this complex that the only reason people don't buy a HD is because they can't afford one. comical really.

I rode H/D's for many years(I'm 57 yrs. old). I bought my '00 R/S in '04. I'm also half owner of a m/c service & repair shop.
I'd rather walk down the shoulder of the road carrying some R/S handlebars than ride another H/D.
Just my .02 worth.

There is one in every crowd. Always has to put-down someone's bike for whatever reason. Not all HD riders are like that - but their are some. I was at a HD event a couple weeks ago and a friend walked up to me and said his son-in-law has a Yamaha. Said he would have to "work on that". I shocked him when I said "so do I". He was kind of speechless and asked why? I told him I ride what I like and I like them both. Don't care about american made hype - we are living in a global economy now. I have always bought what I wanted, don't care what anyone thinks. Working on picking up a RSV sometime soon also. Anyay, you should see the confused looks on some peoples face when I ride my HD with a star shirt, or ride the R* with a HD shirt. Bottom line is: while some are putting down others because of what they ride -- I'm out riding what I want. The laughs on them!

I'm as American and proud as they get but I can't help but notice this........I know HD guys that stand on the platform that they are riding American made(insert fist pump here). You look in their garage and their driving Toyotas' and Hondas' or Acura' and Lexus'.

I like them both. I also like Chevys' but I currently drive A Toyota and Honda.

I would say a little more than some...it really is sad because HD are really pretty bikes...but its the people that ride them that make them have a bad name. Call it right or call it wrong, but when someone doesn't wave to me because they think they are better then me...My finger does the talking . I'm so sick of HD riders not accepting others for what they ride...I agree 100% that not ALL HD riders are like that...but a good number of them are

Re:Road Star Vs Harley Davidson 1 Year ago
I guess I missed the point. Don't understand why anyone would care about what other riders think. If they are asshats or snobs that's their problem. My sister has a fatboy, bother has a softail and kawasaki nomad with a side car, other brother has a suzuki c90 & c50. We love to ride and have a great time. We don't waste our time on what others think. Guess we are having too much fun doing our own thing. We just enjoy riding.
