enjoy the ride.. thats what its all about.. my future brother-in-law is an h/d guy..he told me my bike is the finest jap-bike he has ever seen.. said it was no farley..(fake-harley)..that it was in a class all of its own..when he rode the 05 he could not believe the power we have in these bikes.. i thought it was a great compliment.. to me,you either ride or you dont..your choice..and what you do ride is your choice also..i made my choice and i love it..it looks as good as anything else i have seen on the road jap bike or not..

Okay, since this thread is STILL going, I will throw in my two cents too. Harleys are great. Hondas are great. Triumphs are great. Suzukis are great. BMWs are great. Yada yada yada..... I've been riding since about 1970 and I enjoyed my Harleys back when they were the minority on the road. I guess I just like being different and if suddenly every one else was riding RoadStars, I'd probably look for a Vakyrie Rune just to remain different.

It is sometimes funny. I pulled into a gas station the other day and there were two Harleys there. One of the Harley riders came up to me and said, is that a Road Star and I said yes and he said he had one before he got the Harley and said it was the biggest mis-take he made but he has to live with it because his is financed and he has $425 payments for the next five years!

Then there are the Harley owners who talk about American made while they drive off in thier Toyota Tundra pulling a trailer with their Harleys on it. Go figure.

I stole - I mean, bought - my Roadie from a HD dealership!! For what little it cost me, I'm sure the previous owner traded it in, and probably got nothing for it. His loss = my gain! One of the guys who worked there went back where they had it, and rode it around to the front of the dealership while I did the paperwork. He came in, handed me the key, and said, "That's a darned nice bike. I wouldn't mind having one of those." I just grinned, and have been all smiles ever since!

Im with everyone else here, who cares what someone else rides! I have had those guys that have the "Almighty Harley" attitude do some trash talking. I always offer them a hand removing all the non-american parts off of their bikes, and then ask them how far they would get without them! That usually ends the discussion!

I would say a little more than some...it really is sad because HD are really pretty bikes...but its the people that ride them that make them have a bad name. Call it right or call it wrong, but when someone doesn't wave to me because they think they are better then me...My finger does the talking . I'm so sick of HD riders not accepting others for what they ride...I agree 100% that not ALL HD riders are like that...but a good number of them are

I wave at them all, including Scooters,Crotch Rockets, and Mopeds. And every once in a while I make some kids day when I wave at them. It's their choice if they wave back. I don't care one way or the other.
