baffle packing.. dumb question 4 Years, 9 Months ago
OK guys... I've always had the steel baffles, never packed. How do I do it? And can I get stuff from the local home depot, lowes, etc.? I dont wanna wait for my yami dealer to order stuff, I want to do it today. I remember someone saying they used regular Corning 'house' insulation? Is that true? And, whats holds it onto the baffles? Just experimenting with the "noise factor". I have cobra low boys...I figure it will make them a little quieter but still have a good sound? Thanks

HAD SHOGUN CLASSIC'S ON MY 03 ROADSTAR W/ BAFFLES VERY LOUD, HAD NO ROOM
TO PACK INSULATION AROUND BAFFLES PUT WAS ABLE TO WRAP HEADER PIPE WRAP
AROUND BAFFLES THEN SMALL WIRE TO HOLD TO PLACE (DID REDUCE THE SOUND)

THE WRAP IS NOT CHEAP

Yep you can use the pink panther stuff and wrap it with some wire mesh and the use copper house wiring to bind it. I cuts out the harsh noise and give you a more mellow tone. If ya have a welder or know some one who does I will send you a PDF file of how I made my glasspac's.
