Make your own windshield ? 1 Year, 3 Months ago
Has anyone out there ever made their own windshield ? I've got a Midnight Silverado with the yamaha windshield on it, but I'm considering making my own replacement. The reason is I put 12" apes on it recently and the windshield now touches the cables & rubs. I've used washers, etc to try and shim the bracket out far enough to allow me to put the bars where I want them but it's a crappy fix and with the bracket, light bar & headlight all attached to the same spot it's a pain.

I'm considering fabricating a small lexan shield that mounts directly to the bars rather than the hideous yamaha mounting bracket contraption bolted to the trees. Anyone ever seen this done before, or have any advice ?
