Long story short... most of you guys know about my SVS problem a few months ago..I've just recently learned that after I got fed up with waiting for one 'stealership' to do the job..(kept putting it off). I took the bike to another 'stealer' 20 miles up the road. With the bike being out of warranty I was able to get Yami corp. to pay the labor... after a couple of months of bickering. When the new shop finally got ahold of Mama Yamaha to collect thier labor fee,... seems that the 'original' stealer had already called it in and collected the money! They even sent the work order to HQ to show them that they had, pulled the engine, pulled the rear head, pulled valves and cleaned them, reamed the guides, and reassembled. 6.1 hours. What gonads! So, last nite when I came in from the road I dropped my trailer and went to see them...(the original stealer). Not 1 person knew what I was talking about..yea right, no one would talk to me or even look me in the eye. After I told them about spending money on a bike there, A couple thousand in parts and chrome the last year.. $200 bucks in 'ring free for a year to keep it running!And how I would NOT buy another thing from them, told them how fast 'word of mouth' gets around. BTW.. They had a lotta people there for thier big sale going on this week I was then escorted out to the freightliner in the parking lot and told to cool off and talk to the manager later. You guys remember 'Smokey and the bandit' when Jerry Reed got beat up by those bikers in the diner? And what he did when he left the lot? It was tempting. 1/2 of thier stock was in the parking lot for thier tent sale. Oh well, 20 years ago maybe... I must be gettin' old

seriously, you gotta name names on a screwed up company like that hombre. We can't have members going to a crap establishment like that

Definately name the stealer so someone else doesn't have the same experience! I'm glad your bike is repaired so I guess thats the main thing.

Sorry I was gonna say who it was in the first post....kinda rambled on. American powersports, Findlay Ohio They'll never get another dime from me, and hopefully there are some more guys around here who read this. The guys down in Cridersville, Ohio helped me out..Cycle Sport center Jason in sales and Brad in the shop...good guys. They moved the bike into the shop the same day I got ahold of them and told them what was going on.

I guess you guys up north deal with dealerships a little different. If we get treated like you did down here, we just burn it down and go to the next one. People in Texas are real friendly. I got my shop to fix my "SVS" after I told them that I would pay for it if the valves weren't sticking as I suspected. They were, Yamaha paid, work got done, all is well. I guess you'll be taking your bike south for your next service. See, there's always something wrong with the northern dealers.

Man, If I were Yamamama, I would jerk their dealers licence in a heart beat.. what they did to you is bad enough, but what they did to their mama is pretty sad..

Flashback..thats what I thought .I called HQ customer relations and talked to the one guy thats helped me through all this crap,... he couldnt say alot but he told me they had to debit thier next parts order for the ...'extra money'.... I have heard storys about this dealer for the last year. I gotta believe them now.

Pathetic, plain and simple. Bad dealers don't deserve our hard earned money. Good dealers do. We should have a post of the Good ones, so our brothers know where they can go in time of need.BB
