With the icy grip of winter (I know, it's still technicaly Autumn) I was looking at pictures of my road star and the bikes that preceded her and wondered what the engine of the roady should be called. I've had "panheads" and "shovelheads" and that gorgeous v-twin sitting out in the garage right now should have a name for it also. What would you guys call it ?

I definitely like "Fathead", I always thought that the heads on the R* were pretty massive and wide..

Yep, even a Harley ridin buddy of mine liked 'fathead' especially after he saw them with my gas tank off.

How about "P.E.N. Head"

So it's could be PEN Head.

The letters are actually an acronym which would be :
P-oorly EN-gineered Head when spelled out. We don't have to tell what the P.E.N. stand for we'll just keep it between us and just call it a PEN Head. No one needs to know about the problems with lifters, springs, rockers etc.
