That's a good idea B

And as far as what that dealer did - Screw taking the money back. They need to lose the dealership. I'm sure this is just one example out of MANY.

Screw that!!
First call the BBB Better Bus.
Second call the attorney general A crime was commited. Let them produce a work order with your signature. Can't then they lose.
Third publish his phone number and ask the board to call and tell them they lost them as customers.
Forth depends on how crazy you are I am and have done this. It is called imformational pickteting. You need to notify the police of where and when you will be picketing. Then word something carefully so you cannot be sued and picket their a** off.
Fifth Demand that they make good for any expenses you had, do to their fraudulent billing.
Six take them to small claims court to recoup any out of pocket expenses.

Post edited by: cruiser, at: 2007/08/29 22:57

There is a site with that info, I think it came about from the tranny recalls but not positive on that. Go to http://www.nopork.com/dealerupdate.asp and check it out. None from my area on the list, but then I feel like I'm in the heart of Harley country around here. Usually the only other metrics you see around here are crotch rockets.

Y'all check it out and add your good and bad experiences. It's a good thing.

You get em crusier, heck, If I did something like that, I'd be in jail.. yamama is a big corp and I guess this incident is small potatoes to them, but I've found in my life the pennies add up to dollars.. If you have a kid that,s stealing money out of his mother's purse, what would you do I bet its happened to a few of you, Don't ask me how I know..

I would contact the BBB, the Attorney general and also your local prosecutors office. If it's a charge for your bike I believe you could nail them for fraud and forgery if they signed your name. Did Yamaha pick up your tab after all of that? I wonder if Yamaha had pursued any of this. If they did this to you how many others they may have. I'll bet the tranny recall they looked up all the people they sold to and sent fictitious work orders. Ok maybe not but you never know?

Great link RoadieFF! Two of the dealers in my area (that I feel stink) both got a 1. Pathetic, but no surprise. Be nice to have a link to this on our site permanently, not sure how though. BB

BTW +1 for this

Yes Yamaha did pay all after the ..... ''hit the fan'' They overnighted the gaskets to the new shop that did the work also. The new shop started working on the bike 10 a.m. weds. morning and they called me 10:20 thurs. morning to tell me to pick it up. Still figuring out what to do with the old shop.i agree they shouldnt have a dealership anymore, I'm just one of MANY stories like this. My buddy owns a bike/ snowmobile shop... he told me that a few weeks ago, one of the salesman from that shop came to him to jet his bike for him. tells me alot. I will say one thing, Yamaha has called my home 3 times in 3 days apologizing for this. I appreciate that, but I do believe this isnt the end of the story.
