I would try a new needle and seat. I have never heard of one puking while running!! To much fuel in bowl! Has to be the needle not set good... leaking by an causing your problem. If as you say the float level is correct. That is more than likely your problem....

I ordered the 2.5 needle recomended in the tech article on fuel pump removal. I figure when it comes i can swap it and if that doesent work then try the fuel pump removal mod and see what happens.

Just for shit and giggles, isn't there a small O ring somewhere around there that everyone always says to watch for, cause it's easy to lose when ya take that bowl apart?

there is an o-ring on the OD of the seat which was in place and there is a small o-ring on the face of the float bowl that mates with the carb. these and the float bowl cover o-ring are the only ones i am aware of if i missed one plese let me know.

Are they in good shape? If not get new ones if they are flattened and don't look like they will seal well.

Tstar - when you have the float valve out look up in the opening where the O'ring seats and see if there is a black looking accumulation up there. If there is then it needs to be cleaned out before installing the new valve. I think it's possibly caused by deterioration of the O'ring, I'm not sure but mine leaked until I cleaned that out.

For less than $35 shipped I got the Needle & Seat set and the bowl gasket and lil O-ring for the accelerator pump hole in the bowl . Ethanol is hard on the seat O-ring and it only uses compression from a set screw to seal it vs. Threads, you will almost be guaranteed to find residue around the ring and deposits left from the O-ring

Re:Carb Puking 1 Year, 11 Months ago
It's fixed you guys wre absolutly right it was the O-ring on the seat $20.00 at a local shop they had 1 in stock and i had it swaped in alittle under 2 hrs. i dident notice it the first time i pulled the seat because the o-ring was still wet from fuel this time i let it sit out and dry and then it was clear deteriation on 2 spots 180 out from each other. Thank you to everyone that helped me out.
