The End 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Well, after spending two years spending a small fortune on my Roadie and still not being completely happy with it I finally broke down and traded it in on a new scoot. Picked up my new ride today and well...it's not quite a cruiser.

On the plus side (for you guys), I have a fair amount of R* parts still laying around that I'll be posting up in the classifieds in the next couple days. I know for certain I have a Nemesis intake, stock seat set (studded), short OEM sissybar with pad (plain), OEM windshield, a rear fender rack and studded bib, and one of rear grab bars made by a member here (can't recall his name ATM).

A Road Star doesn't suit everyone and that's O.K.! That's why they make other styles, makes, models and sizes. Hope you are more satisfied with your new ride and it gives you many, many miles of trouble free time on the road.

Stay safe and don't be a stranger.

Another black one? Nice bike! Depending on how the insurance company rates mine (totaled?) I'll be probably be looking at a Roadliner or making some serious changes in the old one.

I wasn't totally unhappy with my Roadie and didn't mean to give off that impression, but it's definitely not a true touring bike. After adding the fairing, Venture bags and tour pack it had the luggage capacity, but still wasn't comfortable for me on longer hauls - even after trying several different seats. Loved the motor and styling, just couldn't live with the suspension and brakes. Even upgrading to a 800-1000 pound progressive spring in the rear didn't help matters as it would still bottom out all the time.

Will eventually get another cruiser, but it will probably be something smaller like a 900 or 1100 for tooling around town, poker runs and the like.

That's only because they keep coming out with new and improved models to seduce us with.
