Big thanks goes out to jeremy04102 11 Months, 1 Week ago
Well last night after work I was going to take a ride with the Girl friend but we only made it about a block and a half when the bike sputtered and quit.....Started back up idled for 10 sec and quit again. I turned the key and the fuel pump made a noise like it was up to pressure then when quiet. Started to take stuff apart to get to the bottom of it...

After taking the filter off and finding nothing plugged , I tested the fuel pump into a plastic jug .....spits of fuel only at first then nothing. OK we have a dead fuel pump, now what ....

Jeremy04102 lives about 6 miles from where the bike stopped and I knew he had just put his HSR42 on a couple of months ago, one phone call and 20 minutes later my RoadStar was back up and running due to a loaner pump assembly.

Having friends with parts on hand is the best!

So once again I have to say thanks to jeremy04102 beers on me on the next fishing trip!

Glad I was around to help. That and that I don't like to throw things away and still had the whole pump assembly on the bench. Quick and easy job glad we got you up and running again.

I can't wait for another fishing trip. Lets hope we get into the salmon next time.

spend the money on the grizzly vavle and high flow pitcock or put the pump back on . or you can keep pushing it to keep the miles down my decition to do the pump relocation behind the right side cover instead of removing it is looking pretty boss right now.
but seriously (un)lucky1 i feel bad for you just had to mess with you
