Road* or Roadliner 11 Months ago
Looking hard at an 07 Roadliner, have an 01 *, like the FI idea, but that brings complicated electronics, is it worth the extra torgue and ponies. Don't think the stealership will let me have a 100 mile test ride. So what say you that have liners. TIA

Well , It's really up to you. The Liners have a ton of torque and run well. I had one for 20,000 miles. I now have a 2008 Road Star with 16,000. The one thing I did not like about the Liner was buying a rear tire with nearly every oil filter. I went through three rears 6000/7400/5800 was what I got out of them. Some have gone to an Avon that was one size larger but I really don't know if it helped or not.
Hope this helps

I have had HDs BMWs Hondas Suzukis pretty much the whole gammet over the years. Currently 3 Yamahas 2 Liners and the Roadie. Im a big guy 350 and 6'6" and the Liners are the first bike big enough for me to feel completly comfortable. At this point I would not consider another bike. A Liner compared to a Roadie is like a chevy to a cadilac. The liners do make more power but have a wider RPM band and are silky smoothe for a 1900cc class bike. If I were to make a recomendation it would be hands down the Liners. Send me a PM with any questions or concerns as I have 30,000 miles on the Liners. Tires are an expence.

Everyone that has one loves it. I prefer the more classic look but as far as performance, you can't beat it.........
